I'm not really a "homebody," so now that the chest cold is nearly gone and I don't feel nauseated and tired all the time I thought it would be a good idea to start the seasonal Christmas Cheer and do some shopping w/ Madison. We took the dogs out to pee about 4pm and Mitch left for classes. Maddie and I had a ton of fun poking our heads in and out of shops. The Mall is not one of my favorite places, but it's getting a little renovation so new stores are popping up here and there. We browsed books, candles, maternity wear and baby clothes (cuz I couldn't help myself). I loved browsing the baby books. Opened a few I used to read to Maddie as a baby and it brought back so many sweet sweet memories of her fresh out of the tub wrapped in her favorite blankie, fingers in mouth and that sweet sweet high pitched voice repeating every word I read. There I go, bawling again. I MUST be pregnant!!!
Anyway, back to the reason for the story... Mitch was just more than a little P.O'd to come home and find a mountain of POO cuz the dogs were left alone too long. I got the classic Mitch silent treatment - which I'm sure a couple of you reading this blog are only all to familiar with !!! So I've quickly discovered, the difficult way mind you, that I'm really not a dog lover. I guess I like other people's puppies best. Tomorrow afternoon I'm taking a trip to the pet store to get two small kennels. I hear from many puppy owners that kennel training is the way to go. I'm willing to give it a go. Anything to get my carpet back!! :)
So speaking earlier of maternity clothes. I've got a baby bump showing now and needed some longer shirts w/ a little extra space around the belly. I've discovered that most preggo shirts also allow for more room for your cleavage to breathe. I really don't want my boobages exposed for all the world to gauk at! I'd prefer to smother those rocket launchers! I mean really! Every shirt I picked up had a super low V scooped out the front!!!
Maddie is developing her own little style now. I remember at her age I had to wear everything baggy and I always wore a jacket (big poofy one). well, she's taken on a unique style. no boot cut jeans for her or crisp white tees. no dresses, skirts, or cords. she's got to have everything skin tight like Bon Jovi in the 80's. Jeans so tight you almost need to sew them on and layered colorful tees so long they are almost a mini skirt. she then wears her boots over her jeans and a belt over her shirt. I think it's funny to see the 80's and 90's making such a big comeback in clothes. I thought for sure they'd skip those 20 years!!! YIKES!!!
