Baby Steps

Just practicing on inanimate objects. I was changing the shutter speed on the camera because I was getting different light results, but then after reading it was probably the automatic aperature the camera fine tunes when set on shutter priority that changed the exposure (lighting) and not the shutter speed per say. The shutter speed seems to be more for suggesting motion (blur or freeze moving objects). Like I said, baby steps to learning...

The "Big Boob in the Sky" is our living room ceiling light. Katelynn is FASCINATED by it. I have to work really hard sometimes to get her attention on my face while she's eating from a bottle...Is she trying to tell me something do ya think?? Believe me kiddo, I wish I could milk THAT boob too!!

Bleeding Hearts

These bleeding hearts were so pretty at my parent's house. It was such a windy thunderstormy day; however, that my camera had a very difficult time w/ focusing. I'll have to try it again when it's not so stormy. I couldn't resist posting a couple that turned out OK though. Such a pretty flower. I'm still working on getting to know my camera. it's fun!! Wish I wasn't so impatient. I want to know all the bells and whistles NOW.
