Coughed so hard that you peed your pants???
Well, I did just the other day. Fortunately I was not in a public location, unfortunately I was at home sitting on the couch!! Mitch had just left to grab something at the store. I had a coughing attack and couldn't move for fear I'd pee. well I did!!!! I was franticly pulling the covers off the couch to get them in the washing machine. Maddie was just staring at me wide eyed, jaw on the floor. Mitch walks in a few minutes later...
Mitch - "what happened to the couch?"
Me - "Oh THAT? well you see, um...what happened was..."
Maddie - "MOM PEED ON THE COUCH!!! HAHAHA!!!!"
Me - "MADDIE!!!! "
Mitch - "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU PEED ON THE COUCH???!!!!"
Me - "Yes, I peed on the couch."
And I WAS going to blame it on the dog :(

Mumblings grumblings
I ate too much today :( Couldn't help it. I felt good enough to cook. Tofu spinach lasagna, garlic bread, salad, and pumpkin pie. YUM!!
15 weeks now!! Feeling better. No morning sickness. Just the occasional dry heave when the doggies leave us there little "accidents." Wish I had a fenced yard.
Tis the season for chest colds. How could we possibly let the Fall Season pass us by w/ out grasping hold of some miserable cold and hanging on to it for dear life! Mitch likes to tease me when I stick tissues up my nose and let them just hang there. Can't help it! Got it from my 5th grade teacher. he would stand up in front of the class w/ tissues hanging from his nostrils if he had a cold. I'll never forget that visual!!
Maddie was an Indian princess for Halloween this year. First she wanted to be an 80's punk rocker, then an Indian, then she just couldn't decide. She didn't go for my suggestion of an Indian trapped in the 80's turned punker.
It was a beautiful night that night. Didn't even need a jacket. Don't remember ever having a warm Halloween!!! Very cool.
If you're married, don't get a dog and let it sleep on your bed. I can't even snuggle my husband anymore cuz the dogs are always in the way!! They are selfish dogs. Very bad girls!!

Been away for awhile
A day at the beach.
Life happens and I found i had no extra time for the computer. Now that i'm pregnant and tired all the time I've turned into a couch potato. I pray for some energy soon. The couch is starting to resemble my backside. The dogs love it. They are totally into naps. Me, not so much, but I just can't help myself these days. Mitch and Maddie are blown away by how much I can sleep! Working 12 hr nights is hard work. I think I'll look forward to going back to days sometime in the near future.
Here are some pictures of the last few months

Biz Town Field Trip
Maddie's class took a field trip today to a place called BizTown. The idea was for them to experience what it was like in the real world working for a company. They were CEOs, CFOs, Store managers, and other employees for each of the 18 companies. It was like walking into a business-like Disneyland of some sorts. Very cool!!
Maddie was the CEO of BizTown Reality. I was a volunteer for International Sign Co. Each business had to buy and sell, pay their utilities, etc., and pay their employees. Everybody received a paycheck x 2 and was able to practice depositing and removing money from their savings acct. They had to keep their check registers balanced, and go out to other companies to purchase things to build up the biztown economy. (the cafe even sold real snack food and drinks). In my little sign company my designer had to sell and design signs and each business got to come up w/ their own slogan. My team of sign kids were AWESOME!!! Talk about busy though! Half the time I couldn't even keep up. The CFO was always at the computer printing or depositing checks. Kids from all the businesses would drop off their invoices to us (some of them just slapped them on the counter and we'd find them later, OOPS).
We kept a break schedule and everything. There were phone calls to answer and computers to keep track of purchases and other financial stuff. UPS delivered supplies for us to price and sell. Kids had to give speeches in the town meetings. Many of the kids had to make and produce their own commercials at BZTV (also run by kids). Each business had a TV so everybody could view the commercial after it was edited.
It really was a great learning exp for these kids to learn about teamwork, and financial responsibilities. Maddie can't wait to go back in Jr. High. Here are some pictures....
That is the town mayor in the middle, hard at work preparing his speech.
By far the busiest place, as each kid stopped here at least twice to deposit their paychecks. not to mention the 18 business loans they granted. PHEW!! Glad I didn't have to volunteer here!

This was my station at I.S.C.

An Alien Among Us..
Do I look like an alien to you???
I may not get to start my job as scheduled on 4/28. running into a few setbacks: Washington is slow to give us our RN license, as they have incorporated some new system that will EVENTUALLY make things run faster, and apparently i'm having some difficulty proving i'm not an alien. I can't find my SS card, and HR won't accept my birth certificate as it's not an original. So, to obtain either one of these it will take about 10-14 days. SHEESH!!
I can sorta understand the confusion. I mean, the resemblance is almost uncanny!!! HAHAHA!!
