If Maddie saw me doing this she would never let me see her do it again! so sshhhh. don't tell on me!!! I caught her putting on some serious make up the other night and she let me in w/ the camera only if I swore not to put it on facebook...well, technically it's not on FB right?? HAHA!! The title is just another poke at her. when she was tiny I used to get her all riled up when reading this one story to her. it was ' Mean Jean the Recess Queen', but i'd insert maddie's name and every time i'd get "MOOOOMMM, STOP THAT!!" But i'd do it anyway cuz that's my job :D

New Year = New Challenge

I'm attempting another challenge this year. Last year was a big flop, but come on...365 photos in a year is pretty hard to keep up w/ and I started to feel my creativity spiral downward. not to mention I actually got tired of it. Life was too busy last year. Not that I mind. I've a wonderful family and a new home ( and boy did we have to work for it!!) Anyway, getting myself sidetracked, I'm taking on a challenge put on by a photographer friend I met via facebook/flicker. it's called "let's Do 52" I think maybe I can handle one photo a week!!! so here is my start.

Week 1 "New beginnings"

I've decided to start the new year off right; I've bottled up JOY and plan to do something no matter how big or small to give or receive joy every day.

Week 2 "Togetherness / Metal"

I chose to photograph my grandmother's perfume. She passed away nearly a year ago, but whenever I smell it, it feels like she is right beside me.

Madison way back when...{film}

My brother took this picture of my daughter Madison back when she was 5 (i think). I just love this photo! Was reminiscing over old photos. She is now almost 14. How time flies.

And I couldn't decide which I liked better, so here they both are.

I love these long stretches I get to stay home. 7 days off!! Tomorrow is my last and then it's work work work till christmas. Getting to stay home w/ my family for so many days in a row is such a blessing. Makes me feel like a SAHM for a week. I love that!

Yesterday, I was typing away on the computer when she pushed my hand out of the way and pointed to the E and said "E." AMAZING!! She makes me smile every day. :D

loooove to run! I got her to hold still for a minute (bribed her w/ an episode of Caillou) so I could snap a few shots of these feet...that are getting soooo big. where does the time go? pretty soon she'll be borrowing my shoes like big sister does (that is if they're still cool) :D

Merry Christmas!!

My mom has been making hats and made these christmas hats for our family! Love them mom thanks!! We need a family photo! mitch's hat is great it's different from the rest and says Bah Humbug! tee hee

"Poon and Fauk"

Like I said earlier I wanted to work on just taking a few SOOC (straight out of camera) photos for a bit. All of these top photos are just that, however the light dimmed just as I asked Katie for a smile, so my white balance was off on the bottom photo and I couldn't resist to touch it up a bit. Oh well, that's just me ;D

She's getting so good at using her spoon and fork like a big girl. She calls the spoon a "poon" HAHA!! and a fork a "fauk" HeeHee
