Day 56/365

Pig-n-Pancake

This was the shakey start to a very interesting mini vacation. Decided a few days ago that we should go to the beach and stay at my parent's beach house. So after I get off my 12 hr night shift Tuesday morning my husband, the kids, and my daughter's friend all pile in the car and drive 2.5 hrs. 20 minutes from the beach house I realize I don't have the house keys. so my husband drops us girls off to do some "shopping" and have a bite to eat in one of the coastal towns. He turns around to make the 2 hr treck home to get the keys...and breaks down about 20 miles into it!!! We call my parent's to the rescue. My mom and grandpa drive 2 hrs to meet up w/ my husband to help him get a "free" tow from AAA. (we gotta get AAA). Then they meet up w/ us girls to take us to the beach house, while mitch gets a lift from the towtruck back home. Mitch didn't make it back to the beach home until nearly 11pm!! 13 hrs after we left for the beach in the first place. and 33 hrs awake for me. Sad thing is is this was not the first time i'd left the keys...SORRY HONEY!!!!! but i'll bet it'll be the last :D

Arch Cape

A pretty spot on the N coast of Oregon. We happened upon it mid day. It would have been prettier as a sunset shot. Oh well. I needed to post a couple beach shots anyway. We didn't make it on to the sand too much this trip :( No sunset photos this time around :(
